my dress . . .

I've been wanting to share this for some time now. This dress was handmade for me by the most amazingly talented Julie of Vain & Vapid. She spent many hours hand dying the fabric and making every little part of this dress beautiful. It's really just stunning in person. Of all the planning, this is probably the one thing I am most happy with. It's also something I will have and cherish always. I am so grateful to Julie for making something so beautiful for me.

Before we left the Second Storie Market, we had to pick up a few goodies! I'm so happy we got to take home a few really beautiful things, of course they are mostly paper goods, which I'm absolutely in love with. These are the vendors we took home some things from . . . all wonderful . . .

Second Storie Indie Market

What a week! We had a full house for Thanksgiving, filled with lots of wonderful food! Then, on Friday we drove to Rochester for the Second Storie Indie Market! The girls who put it on are nothing short of amazing. We can't thank them enough for making the experience so fun. We also met many really talented people and made some new friends. It was wonderful to see everything in person.

Printing Printing Printing

I've been having a ton of fun printing on fabric and using my newly threaded serger to finish the edges. Also super excited about making Furoshiki wraps for wrapping christmas gifts this year!

Weddings, weddings, weddings, I think I spend most of my life staring at a computer screen. Always editing. It may be time for an intern :)

Janome MyLock 634D

So (with the help of my amazing husband) I finally threaded my Serger! He got it for my birthday 2 years ago and I've been too intimidated to thread it, and boy was it a lot easier than I thought it would be!! Haha, all that time I could have been serging away. Anyway, now it's in working order and I can't wait to make some cool things with it. 

BTW the bottom photo was taken using my Cross Process iPhone App. Probably my favorite analogue editing app for my phone. I occasionally post things on twitter :)
