Lemon Macaroons!

I'm obsessed and also very pleased with myself! This batch of Lemon Macaroons came out so good! They are just the right amount of rise. I used the Ladurée Recipe book recipe for the cookies and mixed lemon curd with Swiss Meringue Buttercream for the filling. The texture of the filling isn't as smooth as I'd like, but tastes super yummy. 

Anyway, I'm hoping to try pistachio & chocolate soon too!

Nutella French Almond Macaroons

I, along with Cisco & Koali all seem to be fighting some sort of sickness that just won't go away. So we've been doing lots of resting. Then all of a sudden at 11 o'clock last night, I HAD to make some macaroons! Weird.

Again I used this recipe: Almost Foolproof Macarons which I really like the steps of, but my issues with how the cookies came out are these:

1. they are too flat - should be a little higher.

2. the domes are hollow, when they should have a soft chewy center.

I also think I've made them a little big. I will work on these in hopes of making the perfect macaroon.

W wonderful Weekend!

We just got back from a wonderful weekend in Brooklyn selling our stuffs! We were so happy with the show and did so well. It was packed all day and it was also great seeing some friendly faces. Ate well and now glad to be home.
